The Single Sideband adapter SSB (BFO) plugs into the rear IF connector of the radio.

The SINGLE SIDE BAND ADAPTER (BFO) is powered by four AA batteries (not included) and connects with the included cable into the radio's IF PAL jack.

The audio quality of decoded SINGLE SIDE BAND ADAPTER (BFO) broadcasts are excellent when the reception of the broadcasting station has a medium to strong signal level. The adapter's fine tuning BFO control knob is used to select the upper or lower sideband.

We were very impressed by the audio quality of the KA2100 radio and the TG37 for SINGLE SIDE BAND ADAPTER (BFO) signals and in side by side comparison we much preferred this combo than our Drake SW2 reference unit.
